AlternaScape (tm) is made from recycled tire materials and may qualify for LEED green building credits as found at http://www.usgbc.org.  AlternaScape may be the perfect alternative permanent landscape for your lawn.  AlternaScape is a recycled rubber pavement that is used in place of wood mulch.  Rain water drains through AlternaScape as well or better than traditional landscapes.
